Civil / Structural Design Engineer

This opportunity is open to engineers with 3+ years' experience, through to senior-level professionals. We are particularly interested in candidates with Temporary Works design experience, although we will also consider Senior Engineers with 7+ years' experience gained within infrastructure, bridges, energy, or related civil/structural engineering sectors.
The Role
You’ll work on a diverse portfolio of challenging projects, developing innovative design solutions and taking responsibility for delivering engineering excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
Temporary Works design in accordance with BS 5975 and Eurocodes
- Design and assessment of steel, reinforced concrete and timber structures
- Temporary propping schemes
- Demolition stability assessments
- Excavation support systems
- Façade retention design
- Scaffold design
- Piling platform design
- Production of calculations, drawings and technical reports
- Client-facing project delivery and stakeholder engagement
- Site visits and technical support during construction phases
About You
You will ideally have:
A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 3 years' relevant industry experience
- Strong civil and/or structural design capabilities
- Understanding of BS 5975 and Eurocodes
- Working towards Chartered status (ICE or IStructE)
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage projects independently and collaboratively
