HSE Engineer – Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy Projects

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs in line with company and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations relevant to Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy industries.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventative actions.
  • Provide HSE training and awareness programs to employees and contractors.
  • Monitor and report on HSE performance indicators and ensure continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct regular HSE audits, site inspections, and environmental assessments.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project management teams to integrate HSE best practices into project planning and execution.
  • Develop emergency response plans and participate in emergency drills and safety exercises.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all levels of the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor\’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE roles within Oil & Gas and/or Renewable Energy sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of international HSE standards such as OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and API regulations.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques.
  • Proven experience in conducting HSE training and audits.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
