Senior Recruitment Consultant | Engineering & Project Controls Specialist Role OverviewWe are seeking a part-time Environmental Engineer to support the Environmental & Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and other environmental design and engineering activities for an onshore energy facility expansion. The role is office-based, requiring 3 days per week attendance, and offers the opportunity to contribute to projects aligned with energy security and net-zero commitments.Responsibilities Work as part of a multidisciplinary project team to deliver all conventional aspects of environmental scope.Environmental PhilosophiesEnvironmental Impact Identification (ENVID) ReportsEmissions InventoriesTerms of Reference (ToRs) for workshops and Scopes of Work (SoW) for studiesSupport studies focused on greenhouse gas reduction and alignment with net-zero targets.Provide guidance on environmental compliance, including Best Available Techniques (BAT), ensuring regulatory adherence throughout the project lifecycle.Coordinate with third-party contractors undertaking environmental studies, including ESIA and site baseline surveys.Represent environmental aspects in ENVID and BAT reviews.Manage environmental components of projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and collaboration with project teams to achieve environmental objectives.Skills & Experience Required Environmental knowledge gained through undergraduate or postgraduate courses, final year design projects, and relevant work placements.Experience working on energy or industrial design projects; experience in wastewater treatment and energy transition projects (e.g., CCSU) is desirable.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience in GIS or air dispersion modelling software is desirable.Minimum of 5 years\’ related experience, with typical candidates having 6–10 years\’ experience.Education & Professional Qualifications Bachelor\’s degree (BEng or BSc) in Environmental Engineering or a related field such as Chemical Engineering.Membership in a relevant engineering, science, or environmental institute is desirable.Seniority level Mid-Senior levelEmployment type ContractJob function Engineering and ConsultingIndustries: Oil and Gas
