Location: Leatherhead, Surrey

Rate: £65 per hour – Outside IR35

Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days remote

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager / E&I Package Manager to support a major Greenfield energy project. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of critical electrical packages for a significant “normally unattended” facility, while also managing brownfield interfaces across the wider project scope.

The successful candidate will act as the focal point between the Client PMT, procurement teams, and engineering disciplines, ensuring the successful delivery of major E&I packages from RFQ through to execution. You will oversee key electrical equipment packages including:

  • VFD Driven Compressors
  • 110kV Switchgear
  • Transformers
  • VSDs
  • Associated Major Electrical Equipment

The role requires strong package management capability, stakeholder coordination, and a solid engineering background to support technical issue resolution and supplier engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage delivery of major E&I packages across the project lifecycle
  • Act as the key interface between Client PMT and project teams
  • Drive RFQ processes and package execution activities
  • Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and construction teams
  • Support construction planning including ROS dates and build sequencing
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration
  • Manage technical interfaces and resolve engineering issues
  • Oversee package suppliers and maintain strong working relationships
  • Support engineering disciplines with broad understanding of overall project scope
  • Coordinate brownfield interfaces and integration activities
  • Ensure package delivery aligns with project schedule, quality, and commercial requirements

Candidate Requirements

  • Significant experience in Electrical Engineering within major industrial, energy, oil & gas, or EPC projects
  • Proven experience as a Package Engineer, Package Manager, or Project Manager overseeing major electrical equipment packages
  • Strong knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems and associated equipment
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and package delivery
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
  • Strong commercial and project delivery awareness
  • Previous experience on Greenfield and Brownfield projects
  • Experience of ICSS design would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
