Our Client has a requirement for Quality Inspectors (Civil), who will be required to work on a contract basis in Devonport, Plymouth. Role Purpose: Due to continued project growth, we are seeking multiple Civil Quality Inspectors to support a major infrastructure programme. The successful candidates will provide quality oversight across construction activities, ensuring works are completed in accordance with specifications, drawings, quality plans and inspection requirements. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term project offering enhanced shift rates, a 4 days on / 4 days off rotation and claimable expenses. Job Role Responsibilities: Carry out quality inspections in accordance with project specifications and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs). Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved procedures, quality plans and standards. Verify dimensional checks and critical parameters against drawings and specifications. Witness inspection, testing and acceptance activities. Ensure inspection findings are reported, corrected and verified. Produce daily and weekly inspection reports. Support the generation and verification of Lifetime Quality Records (LTQRs). Carry out final inspections and support certification and release activities. Provide regular progress updates to the Quality Engineer and Quality Manager. Promote quality standards across all site activities. Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications: Previous experience within Civil Construction Quality Inspection or Quality Assurance. Experience on major construction, infrastructure, defence, utilities, rail or nuclear projects. Ability to understand civil engineering drawings, specifications and standards. Strong reporting and documentation skills. Eligible to obtain SC Clearance. Desirable: Nuclear or MOD experience. HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or similar. ISO 9001 Auditor qualification. CSCS Card. Additional Information: 4 Days On / 4 Days Off Hours: 7:00pm - 5:30am Enhanced rates: Mon-Thu: 1.33x rate Fri-Sun: 2x rate Expenses claimable on top of rate South-based candidates preferred, although candidates further afield will be considered if willing to travel.
