Our client is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join their Nuclear & Power team in Derby. In this role, you'll support the delivery of major engineering projects, working either as part of project teams or embedded within client programmes.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing manufacturing methods
  • Reviewing designs for manufacturability
  • Conducting PFMEA activities
  • Providing technical input throughout the full project lifecycle

Working closely with clients and stakeholders, you'll help define requirements, develop engineering solutions, and support project delivery through risk management, change control, forecasting and progress reporting. You'll also contribute to quality assurance activities and the sharing of engineering best practices across the business.

A strong foundation in Manufacturing Engineering is required, along with a track record of delivering technical solutions. You will have experience of technical engineering in a manufacturing discipline and be able to demonstrate acceptable performance producing key technical documentation. You will have a proven track record of working effectively as part of a project team.

You will be used to supporting our Quality Assurance process through review or checking colleagues' work and presenting your findings/work to clients. Your experience will be throughout the complete project lifecycle.

You'll have direct experience of applying a range of engineering principles and skills to deliver successful project outcomes, with specific examples of working on technical challenges, and direct accountability for quality and technical performance of engineering projects.

Qualifications:

  • UK minimum HND/foundation degree qualification or another national equivalent
  • Understanding of general manufacturing processes (machining, welding, NDE, fitting, etc.)
  • Experience of manufacturing systems (CAPP, SAP, CAD, CAM, etc.)
  • Nuclear sector experience
