We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to oversee the daily operations of our supported living specialising in mental health. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance with regulatory requirements, and fostering a supportive environment for residents and staff alike. This role offers an opportunity to lead a dedicated team within a well-established care setting, promoting quality of life and personalised care plans for our residents.
Duties
- Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the care home, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Lead, motivate, and support staff to maintain high standards of assisted living, nursing, and home care services.
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans tailored to individual resident needs, including specialised dementia and Alzheimer's care.
- Oversee medication administration procedures in accordance with legal and organisational policies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards.
- Monitor staff performance through regular supervision, appraisals, and training programmes to promote professional development.
- Liaise with residents' families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate effective care provision.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care, staff rotas, audits, and incident reports.
- Lead initiatives to improve service quality whilst fostering a caring and respectful environment for residents.
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior care settings such as assisted living or nursing homes; previous management or supervisory experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's disease management, medication administration, and care planning processes.
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and promote a positive organisational culture.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in managing compliance documentation and care records.
- A recognised qualification in health or social care (e.g., NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including CQC standards and safeguarding protocols.
- Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, staff, and external professionals.
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of resident-centred care.
