Our client is a globally recognised real estate investment and development platform, managing a diverse portfolio of commercial, logistics, and digital infrastructure assets across North America, Europe, and Asia. With substantial capital backing and a long-term vision, they are aggressively scaling their data centre strategy, with a focus on powered shell solutions for hyperscale clients. Following successful growth in the U.S. and APAC, they are now accelerating their EMEA expansion and seeking a VP - Development Strategy – Hyperscale & Mission Critical Assets to join the London team and lead high-value initiatives across the region.
The Opportunity:
This is a strategic and high-impact leadership role focused on originating and executing data centre investments, including greenfield development, site acquisitions, M&A, and partnerships across the UK and Europe. You’ll shape the platform’s presence in high-growth markets and work closely with senior leadership to drive long-term value creation across its digital infrastructure portfolio.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead and refine investment strategy across EMEA’s data centre sector
- Originate, evaluate, and structure deals—from land acquisition to development partnerships
- Execute transactions end-to-end: underwriting, modelling, due diligence, negotiation, and closing
- Formulate market entry/exit strategies and identify value creation opportunities
- Partner with brokers, utilities, and hyperscalers to ensure technical and commercial alignment
- Present investment cases and strategic proposals to executive leadership
Requirements for this Role:
- 15+ years’ experience in real estate investment, ideally with a focus on data centres, digital infrastructure, or mission-critical assets
- Proven success leading complex acquisitions and development transactions across the UK and Europe
- Strong financial modelling and commercial strategy skills
- Deep understanding of site selection, power procurement, and hyperscaler engagements
- Degree in Engineering, Real Estate, Finance, or a related field
- Confident, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to lead from the front in a fast-moving environment
