First Point Group is recruiting for an ORAN Solution Architect on behalf of a leading telecom company. The successful candidate must have deep ORAN architecture expertise, proven multi-vendor system integration delivery experience, and strong customer-facing technical leadership skills.

As part of this growth, our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced ORAN Solution Architect to lead the end-to-end technical coordination and delivery of ORAN system integration for their Tier 1 European customer. Acting as the technical authority for ORAN applications and radio hardware, this role will play a critical part in ensuring successful solution design, release planning, and delivery from early 2025 onwards.
Responsibilities
- Own ORAN application and radio hardware release management, ensuring planning, alignment, and delivery across all solution components.
- Ensure all customer technical and delivery requirements are captured and met within agreed release plans.
- Manage release risks and issues across customers and third-party vendors, driving practical and acceptable mitigation strategies.
- Guide ORAN application suppliers on security requirements, working closely with infrastructure architects to ensure full alignment.
- Provide technical support to the system integration design team throughout the design lifecycle.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for ORAN application and radio hardware discussions.
- Collaborate with solution and domain architects to ensure HLDs and LLDs align with the end-to-end solution scope.
- Build strong working relationships with customer domain owners and third-party hardware suppliers.
- Serve as the subject matter authority for critical L3/L4 technical discussions, including defining software release plans to mitigate major product defects.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of ORAN specifications, providing guidance and support to the wider system integration organisation.
