Job Title: Project Manager (Telecommunications Network Operations)

Location: Berkshire (Remote/Hybrid)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex transition projects within a major telecommunications organisation. This role will focus on managing the transition of RAN & Access Transmission NOC, Field Operations, and Spare Parts Management from an incumbent Managed Service Supplier to in-house operations.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including network operations, IT, OSS, and key external partners, ensuring seamless project execution and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align project objectives with business goals.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring a proactive approach to potential challenges.
  • Resource Coordination: Manage internal and external resources effectively to meet project milestones.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of project deliverables through rigorous quality checks.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Track project progress, maintain records, and provide regular updates to senior management.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale organisational transition projects, ideally within network operations (NOC, Field Operations, and/or Spare Parts Management).
  • Strong technical understanding of operational delivery within a telecommunications environment.
  • Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across multiple teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to drive project success.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and deliver projects within financial constraints.

Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
  • A degree in a relevant field such as IT, Telecommunications, or Business Management.

Performance Metrics:

  • Project Delivery Timeliness: Ensuring projects are completed within the planned timeframe.
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction: Positive feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Budget Adherence: Effective financial management to maintain budget compliance.
