Our client, a global leader in designing and delivering critical infrastructure solutions for data centres, and mission critical infrastructure, is seeking a Piping Design Engineer to join their growing team in the UK.

This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge liquid cooling systems, supporting the next generation of high-performance digital infrastructure.

What You’ll Do

As a Piping Design Engineer, you’ll be at the forefront of developing stainless steel piping systems and hydraulic solutions for advanced liquid cooling applications.

Drawing on your background in industries such as data centres, pharmaceuticals, distilleries, or dairy, you’ll ensure these systems are designed and fabricated to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing detailed stainless steel piping systems in line with industry standards and specifications
  • Overseeing fabrication processes, ensuring precision and quality assurance
  • Applying hydraulic principles to optimise flow dynamics and system performance
  • Bringing best practices from other industries into the world of critical infrastructure cooling
  • Conducting testing to validate reliability, safety, and efficiency of piping systems
  • Collaborating closely with R&D, manufacturing, and project management teams
  • Embedding sustainable, environmentally responsible practices into design and delivery

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in stainless steel piping design and hydraulic systems
  • Hands-on knowledge of stainless steel fabrication processes, welding techniques, and fluid dynamics
  • Industry background in pharma, distilleries, or dairy highly desirable – data centres will be amazing.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and hydraulic design software
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills
