As an IMS Core Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in validating and optimizing next-generation mobile networks. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to strategise and execute comprehensive test plans for network elements and software releases. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting‑edge projects in a dynamic environment, ensuring seamless connectivity and superior user experience across the UK’s telecom infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• ✓ Develop and execute detailed test plans for IMS network elements and software releases.
• ✓ Validate test cases and ensure compliance with technical standards.
• ✓ Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for network issues and recommend corrective actions.
• ✓ Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex network problems.
• ✓ Document test results and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• ✓ Proven experience with UK 4G/5G Core Network architecture and operations.
• ✓ Hands‑on expertise with IMS Core components and protocols.
• ✓ Proficiency in testing tools such as Wireshark, XCAL, XCAP, and QXDM.
• ✓ Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• ✓ Valid right to work in the UK (no sponsorship provided).

Nice‑to‑Have Skills

• ✓ Experience with VoLTE and VoNR implementations.
• ✓ Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, OpenStack).
• ✓ Knowledge of scripting languages for test automation (Python, Shell).
• ✓ Exposure to cloud‑native network functions (CNFs).
• ✓ Understanding of telecom security standards and best practices.
