They are looking for an exceptional Head of Data Centre Design Engineering – EMEA, to lead and expand their product and services business across the EMEA region. As Head of Data Centre Design Engineering – EMEA , you will be a key technical leader, providing comprehensive support to data center clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams, including sales and application engineers. This role involves delivering advanced engineering expertise throughout the design, build, and operation phases of large-scale data centers. While the primary focus will be on electrical infrastructure, your influence will extend to the overall operational technologies within the data center environment. You’ll bring specialised knowledge in electromechanical systems such as cooling, building management, and energy management systems. Additionally, you will apply your understanding of diverse construction technologies and project management to oversee complex build projects, ensuring the successful integration and delivery of cutting-edge data center products and services. This is a strategic position where technical mastery meets leadership, enabling you to shape the future of data center design in one of the most dynamic regions globally. Key Responsibilities: Lead Engineering Excellence: Provide senior leadership to cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Services, ensuring alignment and execution of data center projects. Client-Centric Strategy: Build strong relationships with clients, identifying their operational challenges and translating them into tailored solutions. Technical Expertise: Act as the subject matter expert in data center design and critical infrastructure, supporting teams to deliver high-value engineering and commercial proposals. Location: Offices are based in London City and they operate a hybrid working policy with 2/3 days per week in the office. Salary: The role is paying up to £140,000 base (experience dependent) plus a Bonus Scheme and Benefits package. Required Skills, Qualifications, Experience: Proven experience as a design engineering leader in the data center industry, with a focus on critical power infrastructure. Strong technical expertise in designing and implementing data center power systems (UPS, generators, switchgear, etc.). Demonstrated success in growing product and services businesses within the data center market. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and developing teams. Strategic mindset with the ability to align technical solutions with business objectives. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing at all levels. Relevant engineering degree; professional certifications in data center design (e.g., CDCDP, Up-time Institute) are a plus.
