About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and independent Key Account Manager to drive our business growth in South UK. In this remote role, you will act as a scientific consultant, building and nurturing relationships with key industrial accounts, including biopharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. You will be responsible for understanding complex customer needs in drug discovery and development, and providing expert technical guidance on our portfolio of proteins and antibodies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Business Development: Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities with key industrial accounts (biopharma, biotech, CROs) across South UK.
- Technical Consultative Selling: Engage with R&D scientists, project leaders, and procurement teams at pharmaceutical and biotech companies to understand their drug discovery needs, recommending suitable products and solutions for applications like ADC development, immuno-oncology, and cell therapy.
- Market & Competitor Intelligence: Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industrial customer feedback to provide valuable insights that shape our regional sales and marketing strategy.
- Scientific Engagement: Represent the company at key UK and European industrial conferences and partnerships meetings. Deliver compelling technical presentations to enhance our brand visibility within the biopharma community.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: A Master's degree or PhD in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, or a related field is essential.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of successful sales experience in the bioreagents, consumables, or life science tools sector, with a proven track record in selling to industrial accounts (biopharma/biotech companies).
- Technical Expertise: A solid understanding of recombinant protein and antibody technologies and their applications in drug discovery and development, with the ability to engage in high-level technical discussions with industrial R&D teams.
- Core Competencies: A self-starter with high motivation, resilience, and the ability to work independently. Willingness and flexibility for regular business travel across the region. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in English.
