With offices in multiple locations, including Scotland and Ireland, the company focuses on the development, acquisition, and construction of wind, solar, and storage projects. Working within a dedicated team of grid connection experts and engineers, this role will be responsible for delivering successful grid connection strategies for a diverse portfolio of renewable energy projects across Great Britain. The successful candidate will play a key role in project teams from early-stage development through to construction and operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the delivery of grid connection solutions for utility-scale wind, solar, and storage projects in Great Britain, with potential involvement in international projects.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, including Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), Transmission Operators (TOs), and the National Electricity System Operator (NESO), to optimise grid connection solutions and mitigate risks.
  • Oversee the grid application and queue management process for assigned projects.
  • Manage grid-related contracts, ensuring key milestones and obligations are identified and addressed by relevant project teams.
  • Provide technical guidance during project development and construction, ensuring grid connection factors are appropriately considered.
  • Support the optimisation of project connection design and costs, including feasibility assessments and delivery model evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with technical grid code requirements, collaborating with specialists as necessary.
  • Analyse network constraints and curtailment risks to assess long-term export capabilities.
  • Work alongside experienced grid specialists, with opportunities for professional development and career progression.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • Strong commercial awareness and contract management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
  • Project management experience within the energy sector.
  • Familiarity with electrical power systems and grid connection processes, including:

  • Grid charging structures and transmission cancellation charges.

  • Degree-level education in a relevant technical discipline.
