Data Centre Design and Construction Consultant – London
Our client is a rapidly scaling global consultancy, operating exclusively in the digital infrastructure and data centre sector. They're now looking for an experienced Data Centre Consultant – Design and Construction (Engineering) to join their London-based team.
They are looking for a strong a built environment professional with deep expertise in data centre design, construction, and project delivery.
This is a strategic advisory role that blends engineering knowledge with client-side influence, leveraging your hands-on experience in mechanical/electrical/building services engineering, construction delivery, and/or data centre development strategy.
What You’ll Do:
- Act as a technical advisor to global clients across design, buildability, and delivery for major data centre projects.
- Deliver feasibility studies, technical due diligence, procurement input, and commissioning oversight.
- Guide clients through design reviews, MEP systems optimisation, and infrastructure risk assessments.
- Develop concise, high-impact deliverables: technical reports, strategy memos, and client briefs.
- Collaborate with consultants, contractors, engineers, and end users across the project lifecycle.

About You:
- 5–10+ years in data centre design, construction, or delivery (consultancy, GC, MEP contractor, or client-side engineering roles).
- Solid grounding in critical infrastructure systems: HVAC, electrical, cooling, mechanical, etc.
- Degree-qualified in Engineering, Building Services, or Construction Management.
- Strong communicator with a passion for shaping major projects—not just delivering them.
