We are currently recruiting for a Seasonal Storeperson / Hangar Labourer to support operations at a Carlisle-based facility. This role will be responsible for supporting the setup, day-to-day running, and shutdown of the seasonal base. Outside of peak season, the successful candidate will travel to other UK locations (and potentially Europe) to assist with supply chain and stores operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Storeperson Duties:
- Open and close the stores function at the seasonal base
- Manage and maintain accurate stock records
- Receive, store, and issue parts in line with procedures
- Pack and dispatch equipment safely
- Support stock checks and inventory activities
- Act as site caretaker during the off-season, ensuring security and maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the hangar
- Assist with moving equipment and aircraft (once trained)
- Clean aircraft to required standards (once trained)
- Carry out delivery and collection duties
- Provide general support to operational teams as required
Requirements
- Essential:
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel as part of the role
- Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office)
- Forklift truck licence
- Experience using inventory systems (e.g. SAP)
- Knowledge of handling dangerous goods
- Intermediate Excel skills
