First People Solutions is recruiting for a Pre-Construction Manager to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering infrastructure, energy, environmental, and industrial projects across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction professional to lead tender submissions, coordinate multidisciplinary bid and design teams, and develop innovative, cost-effective solutions for a diverse range of civil engineering projects.

We are keen to speak with Bid Managers, Pre-Construction Managers, Design Managers, Estimators, or other relevant civil engineering professionals looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead tender submissions from enquiry through to contract award
  • Coordinate internal teams and external design consultants throughout the bid process
  • Develop construction methodologies, programmes, and technical submissions
  • Review drawings, specifications, and contract documentation
  • Manage design activities during pre-construction and tender stages
  • Identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions
  • Attend client meetings, site visits, and tender presentations
  • Support successful handover of awarded projects to delivery teams
Requirements
  • Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience within bid management, pre-construction, engineering, estimating, or project management within civil engineering
