First People Solutions is working with a highly regarded multidisciplinary consulting engineer that is looking to add a Civil 3D Modeller to its growing Highways team in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and expanding team delivering a diverse range of highways and transportation projects across the UK. You'll play a key role in developing high-quality 3D models and design information for highway infrastructure schemes, working closely with engineers and various teams from concept through to detailed design and construction.

The Role

  • Produce Civil 3D models and drawings for highways and associated infrastructure projects
  • Develop alignments, profiles, corridors, surfaces, cross sections and earthworks models
  • Support the coordination of highway drainage and multidisciplinary design information
  • Work closely with engineers to deliver accurate, buildable design solutions from concept through to detailed design
  • Maintain high-quality drawing and modelling standards while supporting and mentoring junior team members

Requirements

  • HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, CAD or equivalent
  • 4-8 years' experience working within a design engineering environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D
  • Experience producing models and drawings for highways or transportation infrastructure projects
  • Good understanding of highway geometry, levels, drainage coordination and general civil engineering principles
