Location: Manchester

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Implement personal banking and corporate banking business development strategy and achieve the Bank’s set targets.
  • Develop new business opportunities within the existing corporate and HNW Personal customer base.
  • Develop "new to bank" customers and channels in line with the Bank’s requirements.
  • Market and sell the Bank’s products and services in the target local markets, establish and develop good professional relationships with local professionals (accountants, solicitors) and business associations.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with Chinese "going out" companies and with relevant Embassy representatives.
  • Handle inquiries from corporate customers.
  • Create and implement customer contact strategy, identify potential opportunities, sales and implement marketing strategies; develop long term relationship with corporate customers.
  • Cross-sell relevant personal banking products and services tailored to customers’ needs, while ensuring all business activities are conducted in accordance with the Bank’s policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage end-to-end credit lifecycle for corporate customers, including credit facility applications, process coordination, monitoring, and execution.
  • Ensure all stages of credit process are completed accurately and timely, covering pre-drawdown reviews, facility drawdowns and post-lending administration.
  • Responsible for new corporate customers’ onboarding; manage account opening processes and complete KYC/KYB checks in accordance with the Bank’s AML and CTF requirements.
  • Assist with periodic reviews by collecting and assessing CDD documentation, including Source of Funds and Source of Wealth information, especially for high-risk corporate customers subject to EDD.

The Skills You Will Need to Succeed:

  • Degree educated in Business, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or other relevant subject.
  • Proven experience delivering a broad range of corporate banking products and services to corporate clients.
  • Solid experience in analyzing complex corporate ownership structures.
  • Solid AML/KYC/CDD experience gained through corporate client acquisition, portfolio management, or corporate credit activities.
  • Experience in cross-selling banking products and services.
  • People management experience is preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of Trade Settlement and Trade Finance, including Bonds & Guarantees, as well as FX Spot transactions.
  • Knowledge of corporate banking related legislations such as FATCA, JMLS, AML, Sanctions, and FCA regulations.
  • Knowledge of Corporate Banking products.
  • Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills.
  • Excellent marketing and sales skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
