Summary:
Our client is a global investment and asset management company specialized in energy and utility sector. They are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager with expertise in the power sector to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising on the company’s energy assets portfolio and researching and developing UK and EU power market investment opportunity. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of project management principles and practices within the power industry.
What You'll be Doing:
- Market and Regulation Research: Conduct comprehensive research on power industry trends and regulatory policies in the UK and EU. Identify emerging trends, opportunities, and threats within the industry.
- Portfolio Management: Monitor the company’s energy assets portfolio and provide analysis and insight.
- Investment Tracking and Evaluation: Track and coordinate potential investment opportunities in the UK and EU power sector. Conduct thorough due diligence on potential projects, including technical, financial and compliance assessments. Analyze project feasibility, risks and return.
- Networking, Research and others: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including financial institutions, consultants, government, and industry partners. Perform research in the field of energy investment to deliver quantitative and qualitative research projects. Respond to internal and external queries about research. Liaise with headquarter and teams in other regions to support development of the business. Other tasks set by the management.
The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:
- Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin and English.
- Extensive project management or consulting experience in large multinational corporations, consulting firms or investment firms.
- Strong knowledge of UK and EU power or energy market and regulation policy.
- Highly skilled in drafting and preparing official documents.
- Educated to degree level or higher in Electrical Engineering, Business Analysis, Economics or a related field.
