What You'll be Doing:
- Prepare daily cash movement reports.
- Manage payments preparation, fund transfers and issue trade confirmation.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in the settlement amounts, as well as reconcile cash breaks.
- Maintain counterparties’ information and SSI against in-house systems.
- Actively participate in projects for new systems and new products launches.
- Support the implementation of new products and system modifications by liaising with the Head Office and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Head Office and IT to ensure efficient department operations.
- Assist department members in handling any operational issues.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Senior Manager and the Head of Operations.
- Maintain effective communication with leadership, providing updates on issues, concerns and successes.
- Provide coverage for other back-office functions as needed.
The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:
- Experience within a banking role.
- Understanding of payments schemes (CHAPS and SWIFT).
- Solid understanding of the UK payment system including Interbank Clearing, Nostro account reconciliations and CHAPS processes.
- Experienced in handling SWIFT operations.
- Strong communication skills in both written and verbal in English and Mandarin.
- Highly organised and able to work under pressure and meet specific deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Relevant professional qualifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Team player with diligent work ethic and strong communications abilities.
