BV Dairy is a manufacture of specialist dairy produce, established 1958 in Shaftesbury Dorset.
In 2024 we joined the First Milk group – a British farmer-owned dairy co-operative.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a SHE Manager.
Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:00
Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 per year
The Role
- To manage the company’s Environmental and H&S management system and consult with regulatory authorities.
- To maintain and develop the company’s certifications (ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 (ISO45001)).
- To manage accident and near miss investigations and plan improvements to reduce accidents
- To ensure that company meets environmental and H&S objectives within time scale given.
- To explore environmental and H&S advances in products, process and equipment that deliver benefits to the company
- Contribute as part of the BU leadership team beyond functional role
- Facilitate and manage projects to achieve targeted improvements in SHE aspects, reduction of wastage and optimum use of services, involving managers, operators, and other key personnel fully in the process.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is
- Environmental qualification – IEMA/ISEP, NEBOSH, ISO14001/OHSAS18001 systems management experience.
- Preferred: Env Permit Operators Competence NVQ, Train the Trainer cert, Food Hygiene qualification, Internal Auditor
- Certification continuation for ISO14001 and OHSAS18001(ISO 45001)
- Confident, proactive, and able to work on your own initiative
- Resilient, adaptable, and energised by change
- Detail focused with a strong sense of ownership and “can do” attitude
