First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Welding Equipment Service Engineer on behalf of one of our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, repairing and maintenance of boilers, plate packs, and pumps.
Working hours: 08:00 to 17:00, Monday – Friday. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair welding and cutting equipment, including MIG & TIG.
- Carry out routine servicing, testing, and electrical safety checks on customer and hire equipment.
- Support customers with technical issues, offering professional advice and practical solutions.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records in line with company procedures.
- Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards.
- Assist with workshop organisation, stock control, and general maintenance duties.
- Collaborate with the sales and technical teams to support customer requirements and product demonstrations.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Experience repairing or maintaining welding machines, torches, or related equipment.
- Proven electrical and maintenance experience (industrial or workshop-based).
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
