Overview

First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with an international Defence business to recruit a Vehicle Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis at their Middle Wallop depot. The role involves working with military vehicles such as Land Rovers, MAN SVs, and aircraft refuellers to support Army operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform general vehicle maintenance and servicing duties.
  • Undertake driving tasks, appropriate to licences held.
  • Support team members and other trades as necessary.
  • Refuel aircraft and operate towing tractors, including Land Rovers and MAN SVs.
  • Ensure quality service delivery aligned with customer needs and contractual requirements.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Engineering experience (REME Class 2, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent, including City & Guilds).
  • Experience with aircraft refuelling, Oshkosh, and military vehicles; knowledge of MoD practices and JAMES system is beneficial.
  • CAT B licence.
  • Cat C+E Licence or willingness to train.
  • ADR qualification or willingness to train.

Additional Details:

  • Location: Middle Wallop
  • Salary: £34,043 per annum
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours/week with overtime
