Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Commercial Catering Engineer on behalf of one of our clients. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial catering and laundry equipment. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Fault finding equipment issues and providing technical solutions.
  • Ensuring all work is performed in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Carrying out installation of a wide range of equipment from glasswashers to combi ovens and full kitchen schemes as part of a team.
  • Communicating with clients and customers, providing correct guidance and advice, as well as relaying solutions in a professional manner.

Van, tablet, uniform and tools will be provided. Working hours Monday – Friday 0830 – 1630. This is a role based on the Isle of Wight so the right applicant must be prepared to relocate.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • COMCAT 1, 3 & 5.
  • Experience of laundry equipment would be an advantage, but training can be given to the right candidate.
  • Experience of working on a wide range of electrical equipment, 18th Edition.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
