First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Production Manager on behalf of our client based in Bristol. This is a full-time, permanent role offering the opportunity to join a leading manufacturer of high-technology road surveying vehicles and equipment. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of production, ensuring efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel, although all candidates will be considered.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate daily production operations.
  • Ensure products are manufactured efficiently and to high quality standards.
  • Plan, schedule, and monitor workflow to meet targets.
  • Oversee servicing, repairs, and field support where required.
  • Monitor production metrics and provide reports for management review.
  • Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years’ managerial experience.
  • Relevant engineering qualification.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles (advantageous).
  • Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.

Additional Information:

  • 37.5 hours per week.
