First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Production Manager on behalf of our client based in Bristol. This is a full-time, permanent role offering the opportunity to join a leading manufacturer of high-technology road surveying vehicles and equipment. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of production, ensuring efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel, although all candidates will be considered.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate daily production operations.
- Ensure products are manufactured efficiently and to high quality standards.
- Plan, schedule, and monitor workflow to meet targets.
- Oversee servicing, repairs, and field support where required.
- Monitor production metrics and provide reports for management review.
- Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years’ managerial experience.
- Relevant engineering qualification.
- Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles (advantageous).
- Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
