:

First Military Recruitment are currently recruiting for our client who are looking for a Pipe Lining Operative to join their expanding team. This role guarantees 50 hours per week plus regular overtime.

This role would ideally suit ex-military personnel, but all applications are welcome.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Undertake work as per instructions of the Foreman and as per training, documented safety systems and quality, environmental, safety and health standards. Work is general site work, which will develop into specialist operations & skills in due course.
  • To deliver work to the highest level of workmanship, and to report to the Foreman where this cannot be achieved.
  • To ensure personnel medical fitness, including compliance with drugs and alcohol rules and rules regards working time and tiredness.
  • To feedback on Task Briefing and site induction
  • Check all work equipment before use, and not to use any defective work equipment.
  • Be aware of changing site conditions and inform Foreman.
  • Make effective use of safety equipment, particularly personal protective equipment, and not to tamper with or effective a repair to any equipment provide for safety or requiring defined competencies.
  • Ensure all method statements / task briefings / risk control measures are adhered to
  • On Rail: Comply with Sentinel Scheme Rules
  • To Work safe and inform Foreman of any identified problems, close-calls, incidents or Refusal to Work on Safety Grounds.
  • On Rail, where required, communication to of concerns to Confidential Information Reporting and Advisory Scheme (CIRAS) when working on Rail Infrastructure.
  • Comply with Safety Inspectors or Investigators request
  • Skills and Qualifications:

  • Training will be provided.
  • To be able to engage effectively with people at all levels and in particular to gain respect and confidence through knowledge, understanding, skill, competence and care.
  • General construction site work / common sense

  • Manual Handling awareness

    Salary: £40,000 + Progression + Overtime
