The Panel Technician will be responsible for repairing or replacing damaged vehicle body panels, including chassis and framework. This role requires technical expertise, with tasks completed independently for qualified staff and under supervision for non-qualified staff. The role ensures customer satisfaction by maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to health and safety regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Dismantle and repair damaged vehicles, either by repairing panels or replacing those that are beyond repair.
- Use equipment such as jigs, fixtures, and welding tools as per safety standards and within qualification levels.
- Follow manufacturer’s guidelines for chassis and panel work repairs.
- Handle vehicles with care to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain tools and equipment in clean, safe working condition.
- Adhere to all Housekeeping and Health and Safety regulations in the working environment.
- Attend training to stay updated on new repair techniques and developments in the industry.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the senior manager based on capabilities.
- Skills & Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a panel technician role (essential).
- ATA accreditation preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in vehicle body repairs.
- Ability to work independently or under supervision, as applicable.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

- Good communication and teamwork skills.
