Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Import Clerk on behalf of one of our clients. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handling incoming calls and customer enquiries.
- Preparing accurate job quotations.
- Processing operational Import shipments.
- Liaising with carriers, contractors, and internal teams.
- Costing jobs and invoicing.
- Occasionally assisting with warehouse duties if required.
- Managing your own desk efficiently and maintaining accurate records.
- Monday to Friday 0900 β 1800 (1 hour lunch break).
- After probation, 1 weekend in 3 to cover time sensitive shipments, paid at weekend rates.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in imports air, road & ocean and customs operations is preferred.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage tasks independently and as part of a team.
- IT literate.
- Our client will provide comprehensive training and certification for the right candidate to ensure you are fully equipped to manage and process shipments.

- 3-month probation period.
- 20 days annual leave + 8.
