MB623: Mobile Crane OperatorLocation: Barnsley and surrounding areaSalary: £27,000 – £33,000 (£13 to £16 per hour DOE)Working hours: 40 hours per week across 7 days with occasional overnight staysBenefits: Overtime paid at time and a half over 40 hours and double time on Sundays and Bank Holidays, Enhanced Pension, Ongoing training and developmentOverview:First Military Recruitment are working in partnership with a fantastic business to recruit a Class 1 Crane Operator to join their team in Barnsley on a permanent basis.A Mobile Crane Driver is responsible for operating an all-terrain mobile telescopic to lift, move, position, and reposition loads as required by the customer.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate an all-terrain mobile telescopic crane.
- Drive the crane from the depot and arrive on the requested site at the time of request.
- Set up the crane as per the relevant machine manufacturers' operating manual
- Operate the crane via communications from onsite slinger/signallers' utilising 2-way radios or hand signals.
- Fit fly-jib as required by customer and remove on completion of relevant lifts for stowing on machine.
- Complete operator timesheet relevant to the requested hire.
- Carry out pre-operational checks on machine as required via company policy and complete company documentation identifying any issues arising from those checks.
- Complete routine maintenance as required with the assistance of the depot crane engineer as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Blue CPCS card for Mobile Cranes (red card accepted).
- A valid HGV Class 2 Licence.
- Must be able to pass a mobile crane operator safety critical work medical.
- Previous experience operating all terrain mobile telescopic cranes.
