First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Enclosure Equipment Technician on behalf of one of our clients. The enclosure assembly role is varied and requires machining, fitting, assembly and fault finding skills. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities for the Mechanical Assembly Technician:
- Preparation of base materials, machining and lock assembly.
- Assembling frameworks and fitting to machinery lines.
- Dis-assembly of tested lines and preparation of items ready for transport and assembly at customer sites.
- Small amount of pneumatic assembly.
- Assembly, commissioning, support and service work at customers’ sites.
- A certain amount of travel may be required to support installation to worldwide customer base.
Skills and Qualifications for the Mechanical Assembly Technician:
- Recognised Engineering certification/apprenticeship.
- Good basic engineering skills.
- Able to interpret equipment assembly drawings and maintain the high-quality finish and output levels expected by customers.
- Proven teamworking, attention to detail and good problem solver.
- Practical engineering experience, particularly in mechanical assembly and machining.
- Able to operate within the requirements of good health and safety discipline.
