Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum

Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Manufacturing QHSE & Technical Compliance Manager on behalf of one of our clients. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee QHSE policies, procedures, and compliance across all operations.
  • Conduct RCA’s and be a leader for positive change.
  • Ensure vehicle bodybuilding and modifications meet Type Approval (IVA, VCA, DVSA) and industry regulations.
  • Develop and implement quality management systems (ISO) to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and have control of the QMS.
  • Monitor and advise on COSHH, PUWER and LOLER requirements and adherence.
  • Monitor NCR’s and customer feedback.
  • Deliver QHSE training programmes to staff, ensuring a strong safety culture.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, and suppliers to maintain compliance and certifications.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in a QHSE and/or compliance role within vehicle bodybuilding, automotive, or engineering industries.
  • Awareness and understanding of Type Approval, IVA, VCA, and industry standards; development training can be provided.
  • Ability to lead a safety-first culture and implement compliance improvements, inspiring those around you.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Utilising great communication skills to confidently liaise with regulatory bodies, suppliers, and internal teams.
