Our client is looking to appoint an experienced and ambitious Flat Roofing Contracts/Senior Contracts Manager to join their established project management team. This is a key leadership role for someone who can confidently take the lead on flat roofing projects and play a central role in developing the department for long-term success. This role offers genuine career progression, with a clear path toward becoming the Head of Flat Roofing in the near future. They’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running, take ownership, and be a driving force behind our continued expansion. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all aspects of roofing projects from start to completion, ensuring that all targets are hit and taking commercial responsibility.
- Ensuring the highest standards of quality and health and safety across all projects, producing, implementing and following all relevant documentation.
- Preparing project programmes, managing resources, including recruiting labour and sub-contractors.
- Managing and mentoring junior team members to ensure end-to-end delivery of projects whilst identifying and implementing areas for improvement in your department and helping facilitate change throughout the business.
- Take every opportunity to build strong relationships with our clients including regular client visits.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Robust experience in flat roof refurbishment/replacement and contacts within the industry.
- Strong verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
- A proven record of accomplishment in successful project management.
- An excellent understanding and sound experience of the legal and commercial elements of construction, with experience pricing variations, submitting applications and monitoring commercial performance of projects.
- Ambitious and driven, seeking a long-term role and being capable of building and leading a team.
