First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking an Electrician to join their team. The successful candidate will be required to install and maintain electrical systems/installations on behalf of local authorities providing housing and property maintenance services.
You will be required to carry out programmed and reactive installation and maintenance activities, within both empty and tenant occupied buildings/properties. To undertake the role of electrician in accordance with Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and carry out repairs which will include rewiring and upgrade work to domestic properties, carry out minor electrical repairs, test and remedy faults.
Required to inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for repairs or replacements to ensure compliance with the relevant British Standard. Able to carry out electrical installations, planned maintenance, responsive repairs to a good standard. Able to fault find and make electrical systems safe, wherever necessary.
Receive verbal and written instructions for each job or project and investigate the site where the work is to be carried out.
- Electrical qualifications – minimum - C&G 2382 / 2330-01 level 2 & C&G 2382 / 2330-07 level 3.
- Certificate of Asbestos Awareness Training.
- Full driving licence.
- Electrical qualifications – optional - C&G 2391 / 2393 / 2394/ 2395.
- Certificate of Training Achievement for Working at Height, Manual Handling, First Aid, or other.
- Previous experience installing & diagnosing electrical control wiring faults on domestic central heating systems.
