First Military Recruitment are searching for a Field Service Engineer to join our client, a leading provider of commercial laundry and catering equipment solutions. With over 50 years of industry experience, the company offers a fullâservice package, including equipment supply, installation, maintenance and repair across a wide range of sectors from hospitality and healthcare to sports and private landlords. This is a fieldâbased role covering London and the South East. You will be joining a professional and expanding service team, acting as a key ambassador by delivering a high standard of service and support to clients. Our client strongly encourages applications from exâmilitary personnel but all applications will be considered.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend service calls to diagnose, repair, and report on faults with commercial laundry and catering equipment.
- Identify and report on equipment and installation conditions, making recommendations where appropriate.
- Carry out commissioning checks on installed equipment.
- Perform basic installations of laundry machines, chemical dosing and ozone systems.
- Recondition and test exârental equipment for redeployment.
- Conduct routine maintenance visits as required.
- Maintain van stock and accurately update the Salesforce inventory system.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Mechanical and electrical engineering experience (Gas Safe qualification preferred but not essential).
- Strong problemâsolving and diagnostic skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional and personable manner when dealing with customers.
- Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working under pressure in a fastâpaced environment.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and pride in workmanship.
- Full UK driving licence (clean).
