First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Class 2 Driver on behalf of one of our clients.

This role has been created to support a significant new customer contract, and the successful candidate will be dedicated exclusively to servicing this account, playing a key role in ensuring exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Safey and efficiently complete scheduled deliveries and collections in line with customer requirements.
  • Act as the dedicated driver supporting a key new contract, maintaining high standards of service and professionalism.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure the vehicle remains clean, safe and roadworthy.
  • Load, secure and unload goods in accordance with company procedures.
  • Complete all delivery paperwork accurately and report any issues promptly.
  • Adhere to all relevant road traffic legislation, driver hours regulations and company policies.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and colleagues

Skills and Qualifications

  • Valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
  • Digital tachograph card.
  • Strong understanding of driver compliance and road safety requirements.
  • Professional attitude with excellent customer service skills.
  • Previous multi drop or contact distribution experience would be advantageous.
