Overview: First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who are seeking a Field Operations Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will manage, direct and plan all works carried out by allocated resources across contracts, ensuring service delivery, quality, cost control, compliance, and timely completion of works. The role is responsible for operational delivery, financial performance, contractual compliance, HR matters, and Health & Safety.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage, plan, organise and coordinate works orders within agreed timescales and budgets
  • Ensure variations and additional costs are recovered and proper accounts are submitted in line with approved budgets
  • Direct in-house operatives, agency staff, and subcontractors to maximise productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure efficient use of labour, plant, equipment, materials and transport resources
  • Monitor KPIs, complaints, service delivery performance and implement improvement actions
  • Administer incentive schemes and resolve queries relating to payments and discrepancies
  • Ensure compliance with operational procedures and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Take responsibility for Health & Safety across all service delivery activities, ensuring risks are appropriately managed
  • Utilise digital systems (e.g. Oneserve, Safety Culture) to support operational monitoring and reporting
  • Present operational performance reports including KPIs, H&S, resource levels, WIP, and financial performance at weekly/monthly meetings
