JR365: Generator Support Engineer Location: Bristol Salary: Up To Β£50,000 Per Annum Overview: First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join their team. Working as part of the Technical Support Team, the successful candidate will provide engineering support across the UK depot network and customer sites. The role will involve technical fault diagnosis, commissioning, repairs, engineering upgrades and supporting specialist customer requirements. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide technical support to company depots and customers. Diagnose and resolve generator and electrical faults. Carry out commissioning, repairs, upgrades and modifications to rental equipment, including Stage V generators. Attend customer sites to provide technical support, commissioning and site surveys. Support technical training and mentoring for engineers and customers. Assist with major projects, product introductions and technical investigations. Support the continued development and improvement of the rental fleet. Work from company depots when not attending customer sites. Comply with all company Health or Completed an approved apprenticeship in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. An electrical bias is preferred. Proven experience servicing and repairing generator sets, particularly FG Wilson and Cummins - essential. Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities. Good understanding of LV distribution and changeover systems. Previous Field Service or Technical Engineering experience is desirable. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good customer awareness and ability to respond effectively to customer requirements. Full UK driving licence - essential.
