Electrical Systems Technician (6 months FTC)

Overview

First Military Recruitment is currently seeking an Electrical Systems Technician on behalf of one of our clients.

This position involves the installation of bespoke MOTS/COTS electrical systems supporting vehicle and survivability systems. Some bench manufacturing of looms and modification of electro-mechanical sub-systems may also be required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Support production activities at sites.
2. Assemble electrical looms, including reading schematic drawings, managing BoMs, and controlling stock of electrical consumables.
3. Support continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing principles.
4. Assist the Team Leader in meeting KPIs.
5. Support the Electrical Design team in developing electrical and electro-mechanical sub-systems.

Skills and Qualifications:

• HNC/BTEC Diploma or equivalent in Automotive Systems installation and repair.
• Experience with low production manufacturing techniques.
• Understanding of military specification radios and electrical sub-systems or similar.
• Understanding of OEM automotive vehicle systems.
• Knowledge of electromagnetic influence on electrical sub-systems.
• Ability to apply system design electrical theory and troubleshoot faults.
