Overview First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic International Defence business who are looking to recruit an Ecology Advisor on a permanent basis due to growth to cover Glasgow and the surrounding area. As an Ecology Advisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will implement the environmental elements of the compliance management system, including environmental policies, risk assessments, procedures and guidance notes, and will communicate these to internal and external parties. The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role. Duties and Responsibilities Provide specialist advice on sustainability and environmental legislative and contractual compliance for the project. Manage the project’s Environmental Management Plan, Emergency Response Plan, Environmental Risk Profile and Aspects and Impact register. Develop within the environmental management platform a project specific Environment and Sustainability Threats and Opportunities profile. Implementing and continuous improvement of the compliance management system to the ISO 14001 standard for the site. Skills and Qualifications You need knowledge of Ecology or Environmental Advisory. You must be willing to travel and have a full UK driving license. You must have an Environmental or Ecology Qualification.
