Overview
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Driver / Yardman on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Hours are 0800 – 1700 Monday to Thursday 0800 – 1600 Friday (39 hours).
Duties and Responsibilities for the Driver / Yardman :
- The successful candidate will be responsible for arranging and delivering materials to site, maintaining the cleanliness & organisation of the site, material handling and site logistics.
- Drive and operate vehicles above 3.5 tonne.
- Maintain the organisation, cleanliness and safety of the construction yard, ensuring materials are stored appropriately.
- Safely load and unload materials, tools and equipment onto vehicles.
- Assist with general site tasks, including basic site maintenance and preparation.
- Monitor and report on the stock of materials and consumables in the yard.
- Perform daily checks on vehicles and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs.
Skills and Qualifications for the Driver / Yardman :
- We are seeking a reliable and experienced Construction Driver / Yardman.
- Previous experience is essential.
- Must hold a full clean driving licence that enables you to drive vehicles over 3.5 tonnes.
Salary : £26,000 – £28,000 per annum
