Overview: First Military Recruitment is currently seeking a Senior Design Engineer on behalf of a client specializing in the design and manufacture of refrigeration equipment. Reporting to the Head of Technical, this role involves managing the design team daily and acting as the first point of contact to ensure smooth department operations. The client encourages applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be considered.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the workload of the design department to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
- Lead and mentor a team of designers, providing guidance, feedback, and support for professional growth.
- Coordinate with departments such as sales, marketing, customer support, and production to ensure cohesive design solutions.
- Ensure all design outputs meet quality standards and brand guidelines.
