Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Construction Manager on behalf of one of our clients. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Guide a team of engineers, supervisors and supply chain collaborators towards the successful and secure completion of assigned work sections, ensuring adherence to strict timelines, budget constraints and quality standards.
- Respond to any design queries and changes within the section of works.
- Collaborate effectively with other members of the delivery team and enabling functions to guarantee that work planning takes into account the project's limitations and needs.
- Oversee the planning, design and construction of the highways project, managing project budgets and schedules.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure a smooth execution of the project.
- Ensure compliance at all times with safety regulations by implementing appropriate safety procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure work is being done according to standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Senior Agent or Construction Manager on highways projects.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of successful management that embraces inclusivity.
- Demonstrable experience of successful delivery of previous projects against budget and targets.
- A CSCS card / SMSTS.
- Knowledge and understanding of construction contracts (through experience and formal training). Ideally ECC NEC4.
