First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Stores Driver & Warehouse Operative on behalf of one of our clients. To carry out all planned and reactive deliveries and collections throughout the Southwest, Cheddar region. When driving is not required, the candidate will be utilised within the stores department to undertake general warehouse work, stock counts and housekeeping. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Undertake planned and reactive customer collections and deliveries for the branch.
- Handling customer and company paperwork for collections and deliveries.
- Recording of jobs arriving in the works and booking jobs onto the system, including photos.
- Packing goods for dispatch.
- Housekeeping of the stores.
- Goods receiving.
- Stock replenishment (including consumable items).
- Carrying out requests by the company or stores manager to aid and assist the needs of the business.
- Ensuring we keep up to date with health & safety requirements, working with the Health & Safety Manager to ensure compliance.
- Available when required to attend out of hours collections and deliveries.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Full clean driving licence.
- Proven experience in a similar role preferred.
- Delivers clear, effective communication and takes responsibility for tasks allocated.
- Basic computer skills are essential.
- Adapts quickly to change and considers new more efficient approaches.
- Good time keeping skills are vital.
