Overview

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an HGV Driver (Category C) on behalf of one of our clients.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing organisation, responsible for delivering and collecting stock while providing an exceptional level of customer service.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring deliveries and collections are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with transport legislation.

Our client is particularly keen to hear from ex-military personnel. however, all suitably qualified candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Safely deliver and collect stock in line with scheduled delivery routes.
  • Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed accurately and on time.
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
  • Comply with all transport legislation, Driver CPC requirements, and Tachograph regulations.
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and records.
  • Provide excellent customer service when delivering to and collecting from customers.
  • Load and unload vehicles safely, ensuring goods are handled correctly.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and company procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism while representing the business.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Valid Category C (Class 2) HGV licence or above.
  • Valid Driver CPC qualification.
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Flexible approach to working hours and operational requirements.
  • Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual handling and heavy lifting duties.
  • Reliable, professional, and able to work independently.
