The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Gardening Assistant Manager to join a well-established grounds maintenance business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong horticultural background who is looking to take the next step into a supervisory role. Working alongside the Operations Manager, you'll help oversee the day-to-day running of the Gardening Department, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This role combines office-based planning with regular site visits and team management.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Operations Manager with the day-to-day running of the Gardening Department.
- Assist with scheduling work and allocating daily workloads.
- Supervise and support gardening teams across multiple sites.
- Carry out regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Produce quotations for grounds maintenance, one-off works and tree services.
- Deal with customer enquiries and maintain strong client relationships.
- Monitor staff performance and provide guidance and support.
- Ensure Health Safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Cover the Operations Manager during periods of absence.
