First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Lead Chiller Engineer on behalf of one of our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for repair & maintenance of chillers, air-handling units and pumps ready for hire. You will also assist with the day-to-day running of the chiller test & repair department. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain chillers on return from hire.
- Manage a small team, managing discipline, attitude, time keeping, absence.
- Diagnose faults and repair of chiller, and related equipment.
- Ensure all paperwork and F-gas Documentation is correctly filled in and filed.
- Obtain details and order parts for repair as required.
- Ensuring equipment is clean and in good condition for hire.
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
- Experience as a Lead Chiller Engineer / Supervisor.
- F-Gas Certificate.
- City of Guilds or NVQ in Refrigeration.
- 3 years’ experience in Refrigeration / Air-conditioning.
- Full UK Driving License.
- Good time keeping / Work ethic.
Desirable:
- Electrical Qualifications / experience.
- Forklift License.
- Previous experience of HVAC hire industry.
