Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer on behalf of the UK’s largest manufacturer of medical & scientific refrigeration. This is an excellent and exciting opportunity to join a well established company with an excellent opportunity of career advancement.
You will be responsible for the maintenance, UKAS calibration, and repair of medical refrigeration equipment, including:
- Pharmacy fridges and freezers
- Blood fridges
- Plasma freezers
- Monitoring systems
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repair of medical and laboratory refrigeration equipment.
- Work independently and efficiently while representing the company professionally.
- Accurately record work completed, travel and labour times, and expenses, submitting job reports daily.
- Maintain company-provided van, tools, stock levels, and equipment in line with company policy.
- Plan and prioritise work based on office scheduling, raising any potential delays early.
- Ensure confidentiality on all customer sites, following GDPR principles.
Skills and Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate should be based in Yorkshire, to predominantly cover Yorkshire and the Northeast area (M1, M62 corridor).
- Full UK driving licence – essential.
- Self-motivated, well organised, and able to work independently.
- Previous field service experience desirable (but not essential).
- F-Gas qualification desirable (but not essential).
- Strong communication skills with neat and accurate handwriting.
- Basic English, Maths and IT skills are required.
