Overview: First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic national construction business who are looking to recruit a Works Manager on a permanent basis due to growth based at their Cumbria depot.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Take overall responsibility for the safe delivery and performance of site operations on major projects
- Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet programme and production targets
- Ensure all works are delivered in line with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Plan and manage materials, plant, and equipment across the site
- Carry out regular site inspections and ensure compliance with method statements and risk assessments
- Support project planning activities including work programmes and method statements
- Lead toolbox talks, task briefings, and promote safe systems of work
- Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and performance
- Collaborate with project teams to support delivery, reporting, and continuous improvement
